The Pelikan Souverän M400 Black-Blue fountain pen interprets the model 400’s design heritage in blue-and-black stripes with warm gold-plated details.
Pelikan introduced the model 400 in 1950. This M400 continues its design with a blue-and-black cellulose acetate sleeve sits between black resin components, with a 24-karat gold-plated beak-shaped clip and rings.
The 14-karat gold nib has rhodium decoration. Pelikan assembles the pen in Germany and tests each gold nib’s writing performance by hand. This fountain pen uses a built-in piston for bottled ink and closes with a screw-on cap.
With a barrel length of 120 mm and a barrel width of 11 mm, it measures 149 mm posted and weighs 11 g without the cap.
