The Pelikan Souverän M400 Black fountain pen revisits a design born in 1950, with black resin and gold-toned details in a compact format.
The original Model 400 laid the foundations for the line that adopted the Souverän name in the 1980s. Black resin and gold-toned trim give this compact M400 its interpretation of that design, with the metallic details outlining the barrel and cap.
Made in Germany, the fountain pen has a 14k gold nib with rhodium decoration. It fills with bottled ink through a built-in piston system and closes with a screw-on cap. With the cap posted, the pen measures 149 mm in length. The barrel is 120 mm long and 11 mm wide, and the pen weighs 11 g without the cap.
