Overview
The Vostok Europe Undiné, limited to 3,000 watches, sets a meca-quartz chronograph and a diver’s bezel in a compact 39 mm rose gold PVD case.
A meca-quartz chronograph
The TMI VK64 keeps time with quartz and drives its chronograph through a mechanical module. The chronograph times intervals of up to 60 minutes, with a central seconds hand and a 60-minute counter. On reset, its hands snap back to zero instantly. A subdial carries a 24-hour indicator.
Built for the water
The unidirectional rotating bezel lets you time a swim or a dive from the moment you set its marker. The crown and solid case back screw down, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters.
Three straps in the box
The watch comes with two leather straps and one silicone strap, each 20 mm at the lugs and fastened with a buckle. Quick-release spring bars let you swap them without tools.
Named for the undines
Undines are water spirits first described by the 16th-century physician Paracelsus, and the name comes from the Latin unda, meaning “wave.” Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué’s 1811 novella Undine later made them a favorite of German Romantic literature.
The details
The Japanese-made TMI VK64 meca-quartz chronograph movement powers the hours, minutes, date, central chronograph seconds, 60-minute counter, and 24-hour indicator.
The 316L stainless steel case, finished in rose gold PVD, measures 39 mm across, 48 mm lug to lug, and 13.5 mm thick. A 3 mm thick K1 crystal, a hardened mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating, covers the textured gray dial. Super-LumiNova coats the hands and the dial, including the polished metal indexes.
The bezel turns in one direction, the crown and solid case back screw down, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters.
Two leather straps and one silicone strap, each 20 mm at the lugs, fasten with a buckle and fit on quick-release spring bars. The watch ships in a Vostok Europe compact box.

Where does the name Undiné come from?

What is a meca-quartz chronograph?
A quartz caliber with a mechanically driven chronograph module. Quartz keeps the time, and the central chronograph hand is actuated mechanically, allowing it to reset instantly to zero.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral glass with scratch resistance close to that of sapphire. On this watch, the crystal has an anti-reflective coating to improve readability.
How does the case size affect the fit on the wrist?
The case measures 48 mm from lug to lug. That span across the top of the wrist matters more for fit than the 39 mm case diameter.
Who makes the movement?
TMI, a movement maker in Japan’s Seiko Group. Vostok Europe, founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2003, has used Japanese movements since 2010 and stopped using Russian ones in 2014. The case is assembled in Lithuania around this quartz caliber.
