The Pelikan Souverän M605 Stresemann fountain pen recalls a classic pinstriped suit in anthracite cellulose acetate, with resin and palladium-colored details.
The Stresemann suit combined black-and-gray striped trousers with a single-breasted jacket in black or anthracite. Pelikan translates that distinctive combination into cellulose acetate stripes and resin components, with palladium-colored trim completing the gray-and-black palette. The striped section is made through a traditional, labor-intensive process.
A fully rhodium-plated 14-karat gold nib adds a silver-colored finish to match the fittings. Made in Germany, the M605 uses a piston filling system for bottled ink, closes with a screw-on cap, and comes in a gift box.
It measures 131 mm closed and 153 mm with the cap posted. The barrel is 123 mm long and 13 mm wide. It weighs 18 g with the cap and 12 g without it.

The stripes recall the trousers of the suit associated with Gustav Stresemann, worn with a single-breasted jacket in black or anthracite. Pelikan carries that gray-and-black combination into the design.
What are the stripes made of?
