- Introduced in 1924, the Meisterstück is a work of art that has become a symbol of high-quality luxury writing. The fountain pen boasts the innovative, hand-crafted curved nib in 18 K 750 gold and is decorated with three delicate parallel lines, a symbol inspired by the gestures of calligraphy. The curved nib allows for a variety of writing styles and strokes of varying thickness, depending on the angle and orientation of the writing instrument.

Ordered the 149 but it was sent in the 146 small box, contacted customer service to correct this and instead of owing to their mistake they were dishonest and said that’s how the 149 is boxed now despite the box has 146 legrand written on it. I checked with montblanc and they said that’s not true. Definitely don’t recommend buying from them!

- Packaging: Downmarket for a pen of this calibre. Some confusion amongst customers regarding box size. The 2022 release Calligraphy Curved Nib MB (Model 129275) came in a large relatively grandiose box. The current model (132147) comes in a small uninspiring box with mine having a crookedly affixed label.
- Performance: Smooth writer. Some may find changing nib angle to obtain varying thickness lines an awkward task.
- Appearance: Uninspiring Montblanc corporate look.
- Value for Money: Poor. My AUD 30 Chinese made Hero "Guilor Deluxe" writes almost as well for a fraction of the price of the Montblanc!
