This then, the Pelikan M600 in black & red stripe, lying in the mid range of this premium quality series.
It does not fail on any level - aesthetics, form & function (Bauhaus) - smooth writing experience, & with a generous ink capacity in the barrel, itself.
The 14K bi-coloured gold nib is slightly bouncy, but not to the degree of being unmannageable; it sits well in the hand (& I have large hands). Attention to detail is superlative - gold accents, clean lines, & well balanced - I can write with this all day !!
Granted, not the most inexpensive writing instrument, but then you have to consider what you're purchasing: Piston filling mechanism; 14K gold nib; unrelenting performance, & a sublime finish - what more could you ask for ? Thoroughly recommended.
