Overview
The Visconti Van Gogh Café Terrace at Night fountain pen recalls the painting’s nighttime atmosphere in orange acrylic resin with palladium trim.
Van Gogh painted Café Terrace at Night in Arles, France, in 1888. Writing to his sister, he described people drinking on the terrace beneath a large lamp that lit the surroundings.
The scene’s atmosphere comes from contrasts of yellow, orange, blue, and green. Visconti draws on that palette in orange acrylic resin with palladium trim, shaping the pen into 18 facets that bring out the resin’s colors.
The nib is stainless steel. The pen accepts cartridges or a converter for bottled ink. It is made in Italy.
