Overview
The Scribo Feel Arancia captures the vivid color of ripe oranges in pearlescent resin, with platinum-finished details across its twelve-sided form.
Rich orange resin shimmers with a pearlescent finish, offset by cool platinum-finished details. The Feel's twelve-sided shape gives the color a sculptural setting. Shading varies from pen to pen, so the lighter and darker areas may differ from those in the photographs.
Arancia takes its name from the Italian word for orange. Native to Southeast Asia, the fruit reached Europe in the tenth century and is now one of the world's most widely cultivated. Scribo released Arancia alongside Blu Califfo, named for a fig variety native to Turkey and also grown in Italy, Spain, and elsewhere in the Mediterranean. The two finishes celebrate the fruit colors woven into Mediterranean food culture.
The 18k gold nib uses an ebonite feed with two capillaries. It uses a built-in piston filling system for bottled fountain pen ink, with a capacity of 1.42 ml. A screw-on cap closes the pen.
Handmade in Italy, it measures 148 mm capped and 17 mm across the barrel, and weighs 36.50 g with the cap. Production is limited to 219 fountain pens in this color. A natural leather and cotton pen pouch is included.
