The Montblanc Homage to Gustav Klimt 4810 rollerball brings the artist's paintings into translucent blue lacquer, hammered metal, and a synthetic green spinel.
This Masters of Art edition celebrates Klimt's role in the Vienna Secession and the interplay of realism and ornament in his paintings. Translucent blue lacquer over brass takes its color from the 1902 portrait of Emilie Flöge. Circles, swirls, triangles, and lines from The Kiss cover the cap and barrel.
Hammered, yellow gold-coated metal recalls his Golden Phase. The clip's three spirals come from the metal frame of Pallas Athena and its theme of artistic freedom. His GK Secession mark appears as a gold-colored, pad-printed monogram. A synthetic green spinel set into the cone symbolizes spring, renewal, and rebirth. The edition is limited to 4,810 units.
Made in Germany, the rollerball uses an original Montblanc refill and closes with a screw-on cap. It measures 146.9 × 17.6 mm overall and weighs 97.7 g with the cap.
