Herbelin Octogône Watch with White Mother-of-Pearl Dial.
Octogône cuts its cases like eight-sided diamonds, jewelry watches designed exclusively for women that echo the glamour of the 1950s. The octagonal Octogône cuts its case like a stone, each facet returning the light in its own direction. The 316L stainless steel case measures 22.2 mm across and 7.2 mm thick.
Beneath a faceted sapphire crystal, a Swiss Ronda 751 quartz movement powers the hours and minutes, and a pressed-in back closes the case.
The watch is fitted with a finely woven steel bracelet, measuring 11.95 mm at the lugs and closing on a jewelry clasp.

Why is the collection called Octogône?
For its cases, cut like a diamond with eight sides. The chevron bracelet draws on Herbelin watchmaking of the 1950s, and each dial is inspected under a loupe. Herbelin has made watches since 1947, and the family is now in its third generation, led since 2020 by Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin, grandsons of the founder.
Where is it made?
In the Herbelin workshops at Charquemont, in the French Jura near the Swiss border. Each watch is assembled by hand and passes 65 quality checks, and Herbelin keeps spare parts on hand to restore its models, older ones included. The movements are Swiss.
Can I wear it in water?
Rated to 3 atm, it takes splashes and a shower. Water sports are best avoided, and Herbelin advises having the seals checked every 2 years.
Will my dial look exactly like the photograph?
Close, with its own character. Mother-of-pearl is cut from the inner layer of a shell, so the sheen and the play of color change from one dial to the next.
How well does the crystal hold up?
Sapphire sits at 9 on the Mohs scale and ranks among the most scratch-resistant materials in watchmaking, so few things encountered in normal wear will mark it. A violent knock can still crack it.
