The Vostok Europe N1 Rocket GMT pairs a fully luminous beige dial with an automatic GMT movement on view through the case back.
A fully luminous dial and bezel
The beige dial is coated edge to edge with Swiss Super-LumiNova, so its whole surface glows in the dark. The hands and the polygonal bezel are luminous too, and brushed metal indexes sit on the dial. The polygonal bezel turns in one direction, so you can time an interval from the moment you set its marker.
A second time zone
The TMI NH34 automatic GMT movement adds a fourth hand that turns once every 24 hours. When it is set to home time on a trip, the dial shows two time zones at once.
Named for the N1 rocket
The N1 was the Soviet super-heavy rocket developed in the 1960s to carry cosmonauts to the Moon. It had five stages, and its first stage clustered 30 engines burning kerosene and liquid oxygen.
The details
The Japanese-made TMI NH34 automatic GMT movement has 24 jewels and a power reserve of 41 hours when fully wound. It powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and GMT hand.
The 316L stainless steel case measures 46 mm across, 55.4 mm lug to lug, and 16.8 mm thick. A 4.5 mm thick domed K1 crystal, a hardened mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating, covers the dial. The crown screws down, the screw-down case back reveals the movement, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters.
The leather strap measures 22 mm at the lugs and fastens with a buckle. The watch ships in a Vostok Europe paper box.

What was the N1 rocket?
The Soviet super-heavy launcher developed in the 1960s to carry cosmonauts to the Moon. It had 5 stages, with a cluster of 30 engines burning kerosene and liquid oxygen in the first. Vostok Europe, founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2003, has used Japanese movements since 2010 and stopped using Russian ones in 2014.
How do I read the second time zone?
A fourth hand turns once every 24 hours against a 24-hour track, independent of the hour hand. Home time and local time can be read on the same dial.
What can you see through the case back?
The movement from the bridge side, with the rotor that winds the mainspring as the wrist moves and the balance swinging beside it.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral glass with scratch resistance close to that of sapphire. On this watch, the crystal has an anti-reflective coating to improve readability.
How does the case size affect the fit on the wrist?
The case measures 55.4 mm from lug to lug. That span across the top of the wrist matters more for fit than the 46 mm case diameter.
