Timing with the chronograph
The chronograph works as a stopwatch, so you can time an event from start to finish. The chronograph hand shows the elapsed time on the green dial.
Speed on the tachymeter
A tachymeter scale circles the top ring around the dial, turning the chronograph into a speed gauge. When the chronograph times a measured mile or kilometer, the chronograph hand points to the average speed on that scale.
A green sunray dial
The green dial has a sunray finish, with fine lines brushed outward from the center, so light moves across the dial as your wrist turns. Medusa, the Versace emblem, sits at 12 o’clock.
The Greca on the top ring
The Greca, Versace’s Greek key, is a band of straight horizontal and vertical lines meeting at right angles, taken from classical Greek and Roman ornament. It has appeared in Versace collections since Fall-Winter 1988, and here it frames the tachymeter scale on the top ring.
The details
The two-tone stainless steel and yellow gold IP case measures 43 mm across and 11.25 mm thick. IP, or ion plating, bonds a thin gold-colored coating to the steel. A Swiss VEM927 quartz movement powers the chronograph. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, and water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The two-tone stainless steel and yellow gold IP bracelet fastens with a butterfly clasp. The watch is made in Switzerland.
