The interlaced patterns come from the mosaics and architecture of Constantinople, an influence still visible in Venice at St. Mark’s Basilica. They cover the case and bezel, then continue across the Canova Concept™ steel bracelet.

On the six-screw case back, engraved portraits of Emperor Justinian and Empress Theodora complete the theme.
An anthracite enamel dial
The anthracite-black dial keeps the focus on the engraved patterns. Its enamel-over-brass surface has a reflective sunburst finish under a smoky gradient that deepens toward the edge. Swiss-made BGW9 Super-LumiNova, charged by daylight or artificial light, helps you read the time in the dark.
The details
The Japanese Miyota 9039 automatic movement shows hours, minutes, and seconds, without a date. The 316L stainless steel case measures 40 mm across and 44 mm lug to lug. It is 9.95 mm thick, including the anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The crown screws down, and water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The engraved steel bracelet follows the integrated profile of the case and closes with a folding clasp.

What connects the Arsenale collection to Venice?
The name comes from the Arsenale, the Venetian Republic’s shipyard. Its specialized workshops built and fitted out ships in sequence, supplying the fleet long before modern factories. The collection takes its design inspiration from that history of shipbuilding and metalworking.
How do I restart the watch after it has stopped?
Wind it by hand before putting it on. Venezianico recommends about 20–30 turns of the crown to provide an initial reserve. If the crown screws down, unscrew it before winding and secure it afterward. The rotor replenishes the reserve as you wear the watch, though light activity may not supply enough energy to keep it running.
What does sapphire’s hardness mean in everyday wear?
Sapphire’s hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale makes it highly resistant to everyday scratches. It can still be scratched by harder materials, and a hard impact can chip or crack it, especially at an edge.
Who makes the movement?
Miyota, part of the Citizen group, manufactures the 9039 in Japan. This 9-series automatic runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and also allows hand winding. Venezianico uses it in a watch made in Italy.
Do the engravings continue around the bracelet?
Yes. The geometric motifs appear on the case, bezel, and each Canova Concept™ bracelet link. The pattern follows the individual surfaces, while the back carries a separate image of Justinian and Theodora.
