Overview
Timex Expedition Tide-Temp-Compass uses a fourth hand for tide, temperature, and compass readings on a green dial inside a rotating compass bezel.
Three instruments on one hand
The fourth hand moves between the scales, giving the watch the look of an analog instrument panel. Before a morning surf session, you can check the tide scale at a glance. A date window sits at 6 o’clock. Luminous hands and INDIGLO lighting help you read the display in the dark.
Earthy green outdoor design
Timex has built its Expedition outdoor watches since the 1990s. Yellow accents and polished pushers stand out against the earthy green dial and the brushed 316L steel case.
The details
The recycled stainless steel case measures 45 mm across and houses a patented Timex quartz movement beneath mineral crystal. The green silicone strap measures 16 mm at the lugs and fastens with a pin buckle. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, enough for snorkeling and surfing. Timex advises against pressing the pushers underwater.

Why does wearing the watch affect the temperature reading?
Body heat influences the sensor. To measure the air temperature, take the watch off and leave it in the shade for several minutes before checking the reading.
Does the tide display predict exact local high and low tides?
It follows the lunar tidal cycle after you set it to local conditions. The shape of the coastline and the Sun’s influence also affect tides, so the display needs periodic adjustment and should not be treated as an exact local tide table.
