The 1983 TV Dial
The E Line first appeared in 1983. Its rounded-square case earned the nickname “TV Dial” for its resemblance to a television screen. The small proportions recall the original dress watch. The compact case slips easily under a shirt cuff.
Period-style dial and band
The gold-tone dial sits beneath flat acrylic crystal, with a discreet date window at 3 o’clock. Brushed and polished steel surfaces carry the period look into the expansion band.
The details
The stainless steel case measures 34 mm across and 12.5 mm thick. Inside is a 21-jewel Japanese Miyota 8215 automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve. It powers the hours, minutes, seconds, and date.
The steel expansion band measures 20 mm at the lugs. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, enough for light swimming.

How do I resize the Perfect Fit band?
Find the textured release links in the adjustable part of the band. Use them to separate it, remove the section needed for a comfortable fit, and reconnect the ends. The resized band still stretches to slip over your hand.
How long will the watch keep running after I take it off?
That depends on how fully the mainspring is wound. The stated power reserve is the running time available from a full wind, not a fresh countdown each time you take the watch off. Once that stored energy is used, the watch needs winding again; there is no battery to replace.
