The 24 mm Herbelin Luna is a French dress watch with a guilloché dial, a yellow gold PVD bezel, and a black leather strap.
A square that flows into the strap
The square case has softened corners, and curved lugs carry its lines into the strap without a break. Yellow gold PVD covers the bezel and frames the dial in a warm tone.
Silvered guilloché
The white dial has a silvered guilloché finish, with Roman numerals marking the hours. The black leather strap sharpens the contrast with the gold bezel.
A family watchmaker since 1947
Michel Herbelin made his first watches in Charquemont, in the French Jura, in 1947. His grandsons, Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin, have led the company since 2020.
The details
The Swiss Ronda 751 quartz movement powers the hours and minutes beneath a sapphire crystal. The stainless steel 316L case with yellow gold PVD measures 24 mm across and 6.6 mm thick, with a pressed-in back. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The black leather strap, 15 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle. Herbelin assembles the watch by hand in France.

What kind of watch is the Luna?
A dress watch in the French style. A square softened at the corners and curved lugs make it easy to wear every day. Herbelin has made watches since 1947. The family business is now in its 3rd generation, led since 2020 by the founder’s grandsons, Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin.
Where is it made?
The watch is assembled by hand in Herbelin’s workshops in Charquemont, in the French Jura near the Swiss border, and passes 65 quality checks. Its movement is Swiss. Herbelin retains spare parts to restore its models, including older ones.
Can I swim with it?
Its 5 atm rating is suitable for swimming. Diving and high-impact water sports require a higher rating. Rinse the watch in fresh water after wearing it in the sea or a pool.
How well does the gold PVD finish resist wear?
PVD bonds a thin, hard layer of gold-colored metal to the steel in a vacuum chamber. It withstands daily wear far better than plating, though solvents and hard impacts can still mark it.
How durable is the crystal?
Sapphire rates 9 on the Mohs scale and is among the most scratch-resistant materials used in watchmaking. Few things encountered in everyday wear will mark it, though a hard impact can still crack it.
