Six screws on a hexagonal case
The hexagonal case is 7.6 mm thick, and six decorative screws on its flat bezel line up with the hour markers. The crown sits within a crown guard, and the integrated steel bracelet continues the lines of the case.
Shades of green
The green dial is stamped horizontally in the marinière pattern, and steel hands stand out against it. Water resistance of 100 meters makes the watch suitable for swimming.
A cape near Saint-Tropez
Cap Camarat takes its name from a cape on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. The collection reworks a 1970s Herbelin watch in the spirit of the French Riviera.
The details
The Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement powers the hours, minutes, and date beneath a sapphire crystal. The stainless steel 316L case measures 40.5 mm across and 7.6 mm thick, with a screwed back. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.
The integrated steel bracelet, 23.8 mm at the lugs, fastens with a folding clasp. Herbelin assembles the watch by hand in France.

Where does the Cap Camarat name come from?
From a cape south of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, swept by Mediterranean spray. The collection reworks a Herbelin watch of the 1970s. Herbelin has made watches since 1947. The family business is now in its 3rd generation, led since 2020 by the founder’s grandsons, Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin.
Where is it made?
The watch is assembled by hand in Herbelin’s workshops in Charquemont, in the French Jura near the Swiss border, and passes 65 quality checks. Its movement is Swiss. Herbelin retains spare parts to restore its models, including older ones.
Can I swim with it?
Its 10 atm rating is suitable for swimming and water activities. Keep the crown fully pushed in and do not operate it while the watch is wet. Rinse the watch in fresh water after wearing it in the sea.
How durable is the crystal?
Sapphire rates 9 on the Mohs scale and is among the most scratch-resistant materials used in watchmaking. Few things encountered in everyday wear will mark it, though a hard impact can still crack it.
