Overview
Vostok Europe N1 Rocket Compact brings a layered blue dial and applied metal markers to a 39 mm steel case with a view of its automatic movement.
N1 was the Soviet super-heavy launcher developed during the race to the Moon. Thirty engines burning kerosene and liquid oxygen powered its first stage, and the complete N1-L3 lunar launch system used five stages. The wider project also envisioned missions to Mars and Venus and the launch of large space stations. The collection takes its name from that engineering program.
The Compact version puts applied metal markers above a layered blue dial in a 39 mm steel case. Super-LumiNova marks the hands and hour markers beneath a domed K1 crystal with anti-reflective coating. A window in the screw-down back reveals the Japanese TMI NH35 automatic movement.
Three central hands show hours, minutes, and seconds, with a separate date display. Wrist movement winds the mainspring, and a full wind gives approximately 41 hours of running time. The 316L stainless steel case measures 13.7 mm thick and is rated water-resistant to 10 atm.
A leather strap measures 20 mm at the lugs and closes with a buckle. Production is limited to 3,000 watches.

What was the N1 rocket?
N1 was a Soviet super-heavy launcher developed during the race to the Moon. Its first stage used thirty engines burning kerosene and liquid oxygen, while the complete N1-L3 lunar launch system had five stages. The wider project also envisioned planetary missions and space stations.
What can you see through the case back?
The exhibition back shows the automatic movement and the rotor that winds its mainspring. The rotor turns as the wrist moves, transferring that motion to the winding mechanism.
How does K1 crystal differ from sapphire?
K1 is reinforced mineral glass chosen for impact resistance. Sapphire is harder and more resistant to scratches, so the two materials have different strengths. The anti-reflective coating on this watch’s K1 crystal reduces glare.
Does the case diameter include the lugs?
The 39 mm diameter describes the width of the case. Its 46.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement runs in the other direction, from the tip of one lug to the tip of the opposite lug. That longer measurement describes how far the case extends along the wrist, which the diameter alone does not show.
Where are the watch and its movement made?
Vostok Europe assembles the watch in Vilnius, Lithuania, using a Japanese movement from Time Module Inc. (TMI). Founded in August 2003, the company began using Japanese movements in 2010 and stopped importing Russian movements in 2014.
