Venezianico Arsenale 40 brings Côtes de Genève, a finish usually reserved for movement bridges, to a gray dial.
Côtes de Genève on the dial
Rotating brushes lay the finish across the brass dial in parallel vertical waves. The bands catch the light differently as the watch moves. Skeletonized dauphine hands and small baton markers keep the stripes in view. The polished, knurled bezel frames the dial with a contrasting texture.
A slim integrated bracelet
The Canova Concept™ bracelet keeps the alternating concave and convex forms of the original Canova design, but with flatter links. Two polished bevels on each link stand out against the satin surfaces and extend the lines of the case along the wrist. The watch is slim enough to slide easily under a shirt cuff.
Named for the Arsenale
The collection is named for Venice’s Arsenale, whose organized shipbuilding methods anticipated aspects of the modern assembly line. The shipyard’s towers, engraved on the case back, are a nod to that chapter of the city’s industrial history.
The details
The Japanese Miyota 9029 automatic movement shows hours and minutes, with no date or seconds hand. Its compact build helps keep the watch just 8.95 mm thick, including the anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The 316L stainless steel case measures 40 mm across and 44 mm lug to lug. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, and the integrated Canova Concept™ steel bracelet closes with a folding clasp.

What connects the Arsenale collection to Venice?
The name comes from the Arsenale, the Venetian Republic’s shipyard. Its specialized workshops built and fitted out ships in sequence, supplying the fleet long before modern factories. The collection takes its design inspiration from that history of shipbuilding and metalworking.
How do I restart the watch after it has stopped?
Wind it by hand before putting it on. Venezianico recommends about 20–30 turns of the crown to provide an initial reserve. If the crown screws down, unscrew it before winding and secure it afterward. The rotor replenishes the reserve as you wear the watch, though light activity may not supply enough energy to keep it running.
What does sapphire’s hardness mean in everyday wear?
Sapphire’s hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale makes it highly resistant to everyday scratches. It can still be scratched by harder materials, and a hard impact can chip or crack it, especially at an edge.
Who makes the movement?
Miyota, part of the Citizen group, manufactures the 9029 in Japan. This 9-series automatic runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and also allows hand winding. Venezianico uses it in a watch made in Italy.
What creates the stripes on the dial?
The Côtes de Genève finish is brushed into the brass in parallel waves. As light moves across the surface, neighboring bands reflect differently. The finish is usually associated with movement decoration and is used here on the dial.
