The Caran d’Ache Léman Rouge Carmin ballpoint pen captures Lake Geneva at sunset in translucent red lacquer over diamond-milled cubic guilloché.
Beneath the translucent carmine-red lacquer, cubic guilloché gives the rounded brass body its layered depth. A diamond milling tool cuts the pattern before the lacquer is applied, leaving the engraving visible through the red. The color recalls the sky and water of Lake Geneva in the evening light. Silver-plated, rhodium-coated trim provides a bright contrast, while a carmine-red lacquered hexagon finishes the top.
The Swiss-made ballpoint uses a twist mechanism and takes Caran d’Ache Goliath refills. It comes with a black refill and a standard case, and measures 137 mm long with a barrel diameter of 12.2 mm.

How is the red finish created?
Cubic guilloché is cut with a diamond milling tool, then covered with translucent carmine-red lacquer. Because the lacquer lets the pattern show through, the finish combines engraved detail with the red of Lake Geneva at sunset.
Which refill does it take, and what comes with it?
It takes Caran d’Ache Goliath ballpoint refills. A black Goliath refill and standard case are included.
