Venezianico Nereide Corallo frames a mosaic dial of natural red coral with a polished tungsten bezel.
A mosaic of natural coral
The dial is assembled from fragments of madreporic coral, using a mosaic technique that preserves their natural variations. The assembled block is waterjet-cut and polished into a layer just 0.4 mm thick, then mounted on brass. Its irregular pattern carries across the whole dial.
Coral in Venetian ornament
Coral has long been part of Mediterranean trade and Venetian ornament, prized for its vivid red and its traditional role as a protective charm.
A polished tungsten bezel
The 120-click rotating bezel has a polished tungsten insert. Swiss-made BGW9 Super-LumiNova, charged by daylight or artificial light, helps you read the time in the dark.
The details
The Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement shows hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. Its custom skeletonized rotor has radial Côtes de Genève, polished bevels, and a 3N gold galvanic treatment. The 316L stainless steel case measures 42 mm across, 49 mm lug to lug, and 12.5 mm thick.
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial, the crown screws down, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters. The red Italian rubber strap picks up the color of the dial and fastens with a pin buckle. The line takes its name from the Nereide, a submarine built in Venice in 1919 and part of the city’s naval history.

What does the name Nereide refer to?
It was the name of a submarine built in Venice between 1911 and 1913. Its naval engineering history inspired the collection’s maritime design and rotating bezels.
Will the dial match the photograph exactly?
No. The coral surface has natural variations in pattern and tone, so the photograph illustrates the model rather than the exact dial you will receive.
Why use tungsten for the bezel insert?
The polished tungsten insert is highly scratch-resistant, helping it retain its finish during everyday wear. It is a separate component from the case and still needs protection from hard impacts.
How does the rotating bezel measure elapsed time?
Align the bezel’s reference marker with the minute hand at the start of an interval. As the hand advances, the scale shows elapsed minutes. With 120 clicks around a 60-minute scale, each click corresponds to half a minute. The bezel measures time independently of the movement.
How do I restart the watch after it has stopped?
Wind it by hand before putting it on. Venezianico recommends about 20–30 turns of the crown to provide an initial reserve. If the crown screws down, unscrew it before winding and secure it afterward. The rotor replenishes the reserve as you wear the watch, though light activity may not supply enough energy to keep it running.
Is the coral dial a single unbroken slice?
