The Bauhaus Aviation G38 Power Reserve is a pilot’s watch with a full calendar and a power reserve indicator on a blue dial.
24-hour hand and month pusher
A 24-hour hand turns once a day, so 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. look different. A small pusher on the side of the case advances the month, and the power reserve indicator shows how much power is left in the mainspring.
Silver numerals that glow
Silver numerals and indices with a luminous coating mark the blue dial. Together with the luminous hands, they help you read the time in low light.
Named for the G 38
The G38 line takes its name from the G 38, a four-engine airliner that first flew in Dessau in 1929. The Bauhaus school was based in the same city from 1925 to 1932.
The details
The Japanese Miyota 9100 automatic movement powers the hours, minutes, day, date, month, 24-hour hand, and power reserve indicator, and provides a 45-hour power reserve. A see-through case back reveals the rotor.
The polished stainless steel case measures 42 mm across and 14 mm thick, and a K1 mineral crystal covers the dial. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The dark blue leather strap, 22 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle. The watch is made in Germany.

How long does the power reserve last?
About 45 hours when fully wound. Daily wear keeps the mainspring wound. After a longer period off the wrist, a few turns of the crown will start the watch again.
What does the see-through case back show?
The rotor of the Miyota 9100 automatic movement. It turns as the wrist moves and winds the mainspring.
What is K1 mineral crystal?
A specially hardened mineral crystal. It resists scratches better than standard mineral crystal, though sapphire is harder still.
Where is it made, and what is the warranty?
It’s made in Germany, uses a Japanese automatic movement, and comes with a 3-year warranty.
How does it differ from the 2362-5?
The 2362-5 has a beige dial and a brown leather strap. Both have the 42 mm case, the Miyota 9100 movement, the luminous silver numerals, and the 45-hour power reserve.
