Venezianico Nereide Verdigris gives each brass dial the green patina of Venice’s weathered domes and statues, so no two match.
A lagoon patina
Lagoon air, salt, and humidity slowly turn the city’s copper and brass details green. Venezianico reproduces that process on the dial through controlled oxidation and flame treatment. Each brass surface reacts a little differently, leaving an uneven texture and irregular shades of green, turquoise, and blue. The color comes from the metal itself, not an inlaid stone.
A polished tungsten bezel
A polished tungsten insert gives the 120-click bezel a bright border. Swiss-made BGW9 Super-LumiNova on the hands and markers helps you read the time in low light.
The details
The Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement shows hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. The 316L stainless steel case measures 42 mm across, 49 mm lug to lug, and 12.5 mm thick.
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial, the crown screws down, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters. The turquoise rubber strap picks up the color of the dial and closes with a pin buckle. The case back is engraved with the Nereide, the Venetian submarine of 1919 behind the collection’s name.

What does the name Nereide refer to?
It was the name of a submarine built in Venice between 1911 and 1913. Its naval engineering history inspired the collection’s maritime design and rotating bezels.
Will every Verdigris dial have the same pattern?
No. Each brass surface reacts a little differently to controlled oxidation and flaming. The resulting green, turquoise, and blue tones vary in their distribution, giving each dial an individual patina before the watch is assembled.
Why use tungsten for the bezel insert?
The polished tungsten insert is highly scratch-resistant, helping it retain its finish during everyday wear. It is a separate component from the case and still needs protection from hard impacts.
How does the rotating bezel measure elapsed time?
Align the bezel’s reference marker with the minute hand at the start of an interval. As the hand advances, the scale shows elapsed minutes. With 120 clicks around a 60-minute scale, each click corresponds to half a minute. The bezel measures time independently of the movement.
How do I restart the watch after it has stopped?
Wind it by hand before putting it on. Venezianico recommends about 20–30 turns of the crown to provide an initial reserve. If the crown screws down, unscrew it before winding and secure it afterward. The rotor replenishes the reserve as you wear the watch, though light activity may not supply enough energy to keep it running.
Is the Verdigris dial made from turquoise stone?
No. It is brass treated by controlled oxidation and flaming to develop a green-turquoise patina. Its irregular colors come from the reaction of the metal, so each dial has a different pattern.
