This week we have a different blog: we introduce you the last Montblanc Novelties, some pieces that have created a big interest and have been a success at the Geneva Salon International de la haute Horlogerie 2019. That is why we think it could be interesting to explain their characteristics briefly. I hope you enjoy it!
Montblanc is expanding its popular 1858 line with three models inspired by “the spirit of the great outdoors”, which special design could be an attractive option for those who who are looking for something a bit different in a wristwatch’s aesthetics:
- The Automatic model is simpler than the rest, due to it just indicates hours and minutes. It will be available with two models: the first one, a limited edition to 1858 pieces in bronze case and green khaki dial, with a same color NATO strap. And the second one, that has an stainless steel case instead of the bronze one, a black dial and a kakhi leather strap.
- The Chronograph, is Automatic' "Big brother". Its features are those corresponding to a chronograph with bicompax configuration accompanied by a small second hand. Also with NATO strap.
- And last but not least, the 1858 Geosphere. It has a World time movement featuring turning hemisphere globes where the summits are indicated in red points, something you won’t find in any watch else.
The Timewalker line, modern but keeping the retro-racing car vibes, welcomes the Manufacture Chronograph with Panda Dial.
This model has "tri-compax" registers and matching black date wheel. It has a much better look than last year's. Visible through the tinted sapphire case back, the movement has its rotor shaped like a retro steering wheel.
Montblanc has created two new versions of this chronograph. Now offered with an anthracite dial in either rose gold or steel, and the "fixed double index" that makes reading the chronograph simple enough while ensuring the functionality is as elegant as possible.
