Yesterday, San Fermín, one of the biggest feasts in the world and the biggest of Spain begun.
During nine days Pamplona's streets will become full with people dressed in white with red scarfs. It is a party for all ages, in which the main role is played by bulls.
The party is celebrated honoring a catholic saint, San Fermín. This saint was the son of an important Roman when Pamplona was a part of the Roman Empire.
The celebration begins at 12 o clock each 6 of July after the famous "chupinazo"is shot from Pamplona's town hall. After this a great party begins in which the "encierro" is the golden clasp.
The "encierro"starts on the 7th of July and takes place each morning until the 14th. Revelers from all around the world sing a song to the saint and run in front of a herd of bulls taking them to the bullring located on the center of the Pamplona.
It is important to mention that this party became popular around the worlds thanks to author Ernest Hemingway who wrote about Pamplona in "The Sun Also Rises". Years later, this Spanish party is considered one of the 7 most popular of the world.
This is why today we have inspired our Friday Outfit in red and white. We hope you like it!
