Friday Outfit: Clasical Music

Today we will dedicate our Friday Outfit to classical music.

Classical music is the musical current that comprises the musical compositions produced or based on the liturgical and secular music of the West, mainly Western Europe. The period between the years 1550 and 1900 is usually considered as the characteristic of classical music production.

Classical music is distinguished from popular music and other non-European musical forms by the so-called symbolic musical notation. This system of musical notation allowed composers to write detailed metric, rhythm, height and tempo, in order to establish the precise execution of each piece.

Classical music covers a long historical period in which it undergoes numerous changes. Therefore, it is subdivided into more specific periods. The first one would be the Renaissance followed by the baroque from 1600 magnificently represented by Vivaldi and its Four Seasons. It follows the Classicism in which the great Mozart stands out and others like Beethoven or Haynd. These stages are closed with Romanticism between 1800 and 1900, also with magnificent composers like Wagner, Verdi, Tchaikovsky or Dvorak. Some of them also were expert interpreters who dominated their instruments and created very virtuous pieces, was the case of Chopin or Paganini.
