The Montblanc Homage to Queen Special Edition ballpoint turns the blue and gold of Greatest Hits II into a tribute to all four members of the band.
The dark blue precious resin and gold-coated fittings take their colors from the cover of Greatest Hits II, Queen's 1991 double album. Freddie Mercury's microphone and John Deacon's bass appear on the upper section, with Brian May's guitar and Roger Taylor's drum kit on the barrel.
Freddie Mercury's microphone stand becomes the clip, while the top recalls the crown he wore during the closing performance of God Save the Queen. The fluted cone resembles the volume and tone controls on Brian May's guitar, down to the small red dot. The release date of Greatest Hits II is engraved alongside it.
The ballpoint uses an original Montblanc refill and a twist mechanism to extend or retract the writing tip. Made in Germany, it measures 141.2 × 17.7 mm overall and weighs 54.247 g.
