This Namiki Tradition Golden Pheasant rollerball depicts the sudden burst of a pair of pheasants taking flight. The background is filled with a flurry of heart-shaped particles lifted by the beating of wings. The male pheasant rises to meet the female at the top when the cap is screwed onto the body. This piece is crafted using the Hira Maki-e technique, where the main lacquered design is decorated with splashes of gold and silver powders. Multiple additional layers of lacquer are applied. Once the lacquer hardens, it is polished.
I found Iguana really friendly, helpful and efficient to both buy the pen and when I had a query - very quick to respond. The pen is gorgeous and I’m now using it every day.
