Vostok Europe Undiné Ocean Quartz Chronograph Watch with Blue Dial.
Limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide, the Undiné line is named for the water nymphs of Baltic and German-Scandinavian myth, from the old Lithuanian word unduo, water. The Undiné Ocean lays blue enamel over metallic powder and resets its chronograph mechanically. The case, in 316L stainless steel, measures 39 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness.
The TMI VK68 meca-quartz chronograph movement, made in Japan, powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date and a 24-hour indicator beneath a K1 crystal with anti-reflective coating, behind a solid case back that screws down inside a rotating diver bezel.
The blue dial, in enamel over metal powder, carries Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices. The set includes an Italian leather strap and two silicone straps, measuring 20 mm at the lugs, secured by a buckle.

Where does the name Undiné come from?
The undines, water nymphs of Baltic and German-Scandinavian myth. The word descends from the old Lithuanian unduo, water. Vostok Europe has built its watches in Vilnius, Lithuania, since August 2003, on Russian movements until 2014 and on Japanese movements since.
What is a meca-quartz chronograph?
A quartz movement with a mechanically driven chronograph module. Quartz keeps the time, and the central chronograph hand is actuated mechanically, which gives it an instant reset to zero.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral crystal with a scratch resistance close to sapphire. On these cases it carries an anti-reflective coating for readability.
Does it wear as big as the diameter suggests?
The distance between the lugs determines that, and here it measures 48 mm. That span sits across the top of the wrist and matters more than the 39 mm of the case.
Who makes the movement?
Time Module Inc. in Japan, the TMI of the reference. Vostok Europe used Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese suppliers since, so the case is assembled in Lithuania around a Japanese quartz movement.
